Read or Condemn Yourself to Death by Ignorance

For those courageous souls brave enough to look and see what is,

who are unwilling to blindly accept

the lies and rules of tyrannical authority.

The simple step of a courageous individual is not to take part in the lie.

One word of truth outweighs a world of lies.

-----

If perchance a post of mine you think extreme

heed this from Kahlil Gibran:

“In battling evil, excess is good;

for he who is moderate in announcing the truth is presenting half-truth.

He conceals the other half out of fear of the people’s wrath.”

-----

One of my goals is to think and act as if I fear no man’s wrath or deed.

You Get What You Tolerate

You Get What You Tolerate

“It’s madness to hate all roses
because you got scratched
with one thorn,
to give up all dreams
because one of them
didn’t come true,
to give up all attempts
because one of them failed.

It’s folly to condemn
all your friends
because one has betrayed you,
to no longer believe in love
just because someone
was unfaithful
or didn’t love you back,
to throw away
all your chances to be happy
because something went wrong.

There will always
be another opportunity,
another friend,
another love,
a new strength.

For every end,
there is always
a new beginning.

And now here is my secret,
a very simple secret:
It is only with the heart
that one can see rightly;
what is essential,
is invisible to the eye.”

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
The Little Prince, 1943

Massive study of ancient DNA reveals hidden history of civilization and language

Bearded Man

The land mass running from the Balkans to the Middle East bridges Europe and West Asia. The region has dramatically influenced Eurasian history.

Until now, researchers have been limited to archaeological findings in trying to reconstruct the region’s history and the evolution of its languages. New techniques allowed researchers to analyze ancient DNA for the first time.

The data they unearthed helps describe the genomic history of the area and reveals population movements from as far back as 10,000 years ago. It contains some big surprises regarding theories for the origin of languages.

And since, more correctly, you do not HAVE a soul you ARE a soul, and an immortal, indestructible soul is only limited by one’s considerations and one has the ability to change one’s mind, that makes one pretty limitless!

The Princess Bride was released September 25, 1987 and starred Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Mandy Patinkin, Wallace Shawn and André the Giant. Adapted by William Goldman from his 1973 novel of the same name, it tells the story of a farmhand named Westley, accompanied by befriended companions along the way, who must rescue his true love Princess Buttercup from the odious Prince Humperdinck. The film effectively preserves the novel’s narrative style by presenting the story as a book being read by a grandfather (Peter Falk) to his sick grandson (Fred Savage). Mark Knopfler’s soundtrack included the song “Storybook Love”, performed by Willy DeVille, nominated for Best Original Song at the 60th Academy Awards.

Edison promoting an electric car 1000 mile run with his “new” at that time battery, 1910. New York.

More than 110 years ago we had electric cars that had 1000 miles run batteries on a single charge, which is at least 2-3 times better than todays best electric car battery.

Back in the day they didn’t use Lithium batteries, instead they used Sodium ion batteries which were much more powerful, safer and cleaner for production and environment.

Until next time,
dream big dreams,
plan out how to achieve them,
be continually executing your plans,
enlist people to your causes,
travel and/or read widely, preferably both,
all the while observing what you observe
rather than thinking what you are told to think,
think well of your fellow man,
take time to help your fellow man,
he sorely needs it and it will help you too,
eat food that is good for your body,
exercise your body,
take time to destress,
and do the important things
that make a difference -
they are rarely the urgent ones!
